Collective Message: Mira Bai’s wisdom

Hi, Magical Beings!

Today, I want to share a collective message with you. The card I pulled features an image of Mira Bai and her profound message in the header. Let’s dive deeper into her story and its relevance to our lives.

Who Was Mira Bai?

Mira Bai was a beacon of hope during a challenging time in Indian history. During the suffering caused by the caste system and persecution, she stood out for her beautiful poems and her role in the Bhakti movement. This spiritual path focuses on cultivating a personal love for the divine, advocating that anyone can access the divine directly, regardless of gender, caste, or religion.

How Does This Support You?

For those actively choosing for themselves, you are celebrated and validated for it! Keep it up! The world is a better place because of it. For those working on it, consider what small steps you can take to start choosing for yourself. Approving yourself is an act of self-love.

Addressing the Block

At our core, we all desire to be liked and appreciated for who we are. We have unique perspectives and deeply want to connect and form meaningful bonds. It’s natural to prioritize others' happiness to maintain these connections. You do it, and you receive love. But what happens when you have different perspectives and approach life in ways that others don’t understand? What do you do when others don’t approve of your choices? I'll share a story of how I overcame this when I became a reiki master.

Overcoming This Block

I became certified in Level 2 Reiki in 2013, but it took me three more years to become a Reiki Master in October 2016. Though I felt a deep connection to Reiki, no one around me understood it. My mother initially thought I was calling in demons (she eventually changed her mind), my friends were kind but couldn’t relate, and the man I was dating found it odd. I felt isolated in my connection to the energy and lacked validation from anyone. I even considered quitting.

One day, my Reiki Master teacher wanted to see me and asked how I was doing. I met her at the spa and shared my struggles. She listened empathetically. When I mentioned my unsupportive boyfriend, she stopped me and said, “It doesn’t matter what this man thinks; it matters what you think about Reiki.” She paused and asked, “Do you believe in Reiki?” I said yes. “Then that’s all that matters. You have a purpose to be a healer, Alex. Don’t let someone who has never experienced Reiki tell you otherwise. Spirit will only give you enough time to make your decision. Don’t waste it.”

The way she spoke to me, I knew it was coming from my guides. The energy in the room shifted, and it was exactly what I needed to hear. I broke up with that guy and later met the man who would become my husband. I also became a certified Reiki Master. My husband believed in me and encouraged me to offer Reiki professionally and quit my job in property management. He knew helping people this way was my purpose. I can't thank him enough for his support.

Today, I have helped over 600 people with Reiki and other healing modalities. I also teach Reiki and intuitive development classes. I can only imagine what my life would be like if I hadn’t taken that risk.

People mean well, but they are not in your shoes. Seeking approval from those who aren’t experiencing what you are is not helpful. Trust in your experience and take the risk.

You got this!

Love you,

Alex
